Sophia began playing piano at the age of five. At six she was accepted to New England Conservatory in Boston, MA and started to take piano lessons with Tatiana Dudochkin (New England Conservatory Piano Faculty Preparatory and Continuing Education Department, Director of Annual Composers Celebration at Jordan Hall, President Chamber Music Foundation of New England) "I have watched her grow up from a little girl into an achieved young pianist and a caring respectful, well-rounded young lady. She quickly proved herself to be a hard-working and highly motivated student. Her outstanding performance was recognized at a series of competitions. As a first prize winner she has performed seven times at venues such as Carnegie Hall at NYC!
Sophia also successfully performed multiple times at MIT Killian Hall and many events at her school (Renbrook School in CT) also at local community events. She regularly challenging herself with new pieces that will develop her skills and ability. She does not rest until she has mastered the pieces. Sophia also is taking classes of musical theory and children chorus at NEC for seven years. Her enthusiasm and eagerness for learning extends far beyond her musical endeavors; it is a fundamental aspect of her character and is what enables her to thrive and succeed in any setting."
I am a strong believer that everyone should be able to have a life of music. That's why I wanted to learn how to play piano. When I was younger, I really thought it was just a music that gave me inspiration. Now, I know it’s not really the music, it’s the state of mind that I get into when I play piano.
